主要从事模式微生物和海洋环境微生物中原噬菌体-细菌宿主互作机制及应用研究。研究内容主要包括:1. 环境和模式微生物携带的溶原性噬菌体及其与宿主细菌间的相互作用;2. 溶原性噬菌体中携带的附属基因(特别是毒素-抗毒素系统)的功能及生态效应;3.开发靶向溶原噬菌体和毒素-抗毒素系统的多重耐药菌防治新方法。在Nucleic Acids Research, Cell Reports, Environmental Microbiology, The ISME Journal,Journal of Bacteriology, Molecular Microbiology和Marine Drugs等权威期刊发表论文35篇,发明专利2项。毒素-抗毒素系统的研究工作获国家自然科学基金面上项目、青年基金项目、中国博士后科学基金特别资助、2项广东省自然科学基金的资助、广东省基础与应用基础研究重大项目子课题。此外,先后参加国家重点研发计划项目、国家自然科学基金杰出青年科学基金项目。
