陈举博士，主要从事海洋环流动力学和海气相互作用观测研究，主持建设了南海-东印度洋时间序列观测阵列，获得了南海和东印度洋海域关键动力区上层海洋动力和热力要素10余年连续监测数据，有效支撑了国内20余家单位60多个研究团队在印度洋赤道行星波动调整和季节与年际变化以及南海环流动力学与海-气通量等相关研究。发表论文60多篇。
