研究内容

主要从事南海盐度和水循环研究,取得的创新性成果有:(1)发现和解释南海盐度极端事件及年代际变率机理。主要揭示了南海上层极端淡化事件成因和次表层盐度年代际变率的产生机理,定量确定局地淡水通量、平流盐输运和垂向混合对盐度变化的贡献,该工作被认为是对区域海盆和全球海洋盐度研究的重要补充。(2)阐述并诊断南海盐度层结特征及盐致障碍层维持机理。成果揭示了南海盐度层结季节循环及其热动力机制,推动对南海斜压结构的认识,完善对南海基本热动力特征的刻画,从而为确定南海在太平洋-印度洋热带海域水循环的作用奠定基础。(3)水循环过程中关键因子的评估对水平衡机理探讨尤为重要,构建了迄今为止包含观测最为丰富的南海物理海洋学数据集SCSPOD14和南海高时空分辨率通量产品SCSSLH。发表SCI论文40篇,其中第一/通讯作者SCI论文20篇,相关成果发表在GRL、JGR、CD和SD等地学期刊上。
