主要从事热带海-气相互作用、热带-北极相互作用、全球气候变化等方向的研究，在南海气候变异、ENSO影响机理等方面取得了系列性学术成果，任Journal of Climate, Climate Dynamics等国际学术期刊审稿人,发表文章20余篇，获得国家级、省级等竞争性项目9项。
